Project case study – Chez Nina

Posted in:

From the day the best vegetarian restaurant in Amsterdam opened (in 2022) I helped Chez Nina run more smoothly and have better data. Chez Nina was taken over in 2025.

What I did

Some of the things I worked on:

  • Set up an “Intranet” for all Chez Nina people (Notion), with a description of all processes
  • Created a dynamic financial “dashboard” connecting an Excel with data from various sources. Lots of Excel / Spreadsheet nerdy stuff (I love it).
  • Documented and optimized all back office processes with staff (Notion)
  • Created an action list with recurring tasks that’s used by management (Notion)
  • Created a template for the weekly management team meeting (Google Slides)
  • Created documentation for potential buyers

The result

By having “what to do” described clearly, it takes much less time to bring new Chez Nina team members up-to-speed. With the “management dashboard” Chez Nina’s owner Marcel and their managers have an always up-to-date source to make informed decisions quickly.

A recommendation from Chez Nina general manager Martin:

Something I definitely have nothing to do with, is the quality of the food. An 8.5 from Maria Grimm in Het Parool is quite an achievement!
